CÉSAR MANRIQUE FOUNDATION, which is located in the unique and spectacular house designed by César Manrique himself on his return from New York, when he decided to settle permanently in Lanzarote. Inhabited by the artist for 20 years, from 1968 to 1988, it is the house in which he lived the longest. It was located in the middle of a lava flow caused by the great eruptions that occurred on the island between 1730 and 1736. In this construction, which occupies 3,000 square meters on a 30,000 square meter property, the dialogue between the building and nature stands out, merging volcano and architecture in a relationship of permanent respect.
